Wortley is a small layout originally 12 foot long, It has a small station and goods shed.
Also there is a small stabling point and refuelling area with loco shed behind this is a fiddle yard.
The majority of passenger operations are done by DMU`s, there are a few loco hauled services but not many, The coaches that operate on the loco hauled services are MK1`s & MK2`s in small rakes of 3 or 4 coaches.
The freight is operated by class 37 and 47 locomotives on speedlink distribution services.
The location for Wortley is set in west Yorkshire, no actual date is set but late 80`s to early 90`s were decided upon which the stock can represent

Wortley had its First outing at Wadebridge exhibition in Cornwall, there was a few problems at the very beginning of the show with the electric not working as planned, however these were quickly overcome.
Then there was a few problems when shunting wagons in the goods area with around 5 derailments over the weekend.
Apart from that the layout was received well especially by younger modellers, and plenty of questions were asked about the DCC system and general questions too.
Dominick has decided to extend the layout, from 12 foot to 16 foot and add signals also were re wiring the layout plus adding detailing around the Depot and Station with accessories and more buildings

The next exhibition for Wortley is going to be Spennymoor.
